START AF TODAY! WHY CANT I GET PREGNANT? ON CLOMID AND PROGESTERONE AND EVERYTHING IS GOOD NOW. SO WHY?

I am on clomid 50 mg because my progesterone was6.3. I have been on it for two months now. And it has helped so I am grateful. My progeterone is 30 now. So why cant I get pregnant now?? I have a six year old little boy from my ex. I have remarried and six years later I can not get pregnant. I should mention that he has a three year old lil as well. So I know his sperm is ok. I am at a lost. I dont know what else to do. And my most concern is why cant I get pregnant now and what if I never do. We want a child that is both of ours. What do you think it could possibley be??

Also I thought maybe it could be my tubes have clogged over the years. But I read that can only happen if you have a STD. And I have never had any type of STD.

um misskitt you dont know me or my family. and you would probably not get mean e mails if you wasnt so damn judgemental! Cuz thats exactly what I was going to do was send you a email and give you a piece of my mind. And as for my step son coming to visit, He lives with US! And we have included the kids in this and they want a brother or sister. We dont play favoritisim! And for someone to even think that you are doing that by having another baby has issues that probably happened to them when they were kids. You might want to look into getting some help with that honey.

Every woman I know who has taken Clomid (myself included) has gotten pregnant within 3 months of starting it. This is only your 2nd cycle of it, so I wouldn't be worried yet. (I know that is much easier said than done.) Also, from what I've read, for woman who didn't get pregnant with the 50 mg, they can increase the dosage. I'll say a prayer for your family. Good luck.

The average healthy couple takes about a year ot conceive. i'd give it some more time. a friend of mine's parents tried for a long until they gave up and 10 years later got pregnant. have you beent racking your ovulation? you need to be doing that

calm down, stress less and forget about what your doing!

we had real trouble conceiving until we 'gave up' i fell within a month after that.

There are a million possible reasons why you can't get pregnant.

I think it's sad, for your kids that you already have, that you're so desperate to have another baby, like they don't count or matter. Just a suggestion, that you may not appreciate, but have you thought about their feelings on this? His little girl probably just gets to visit him, how will she feel only visiting her daddy, while he has a new baby who gets to live with him all the time? And your son, he'll have a man in the house who loves the new baby more than him. It's all very sad.

Maybe you should just go off the clomid, focus on the gifts you've already been given, and make the best of it? Let things happen on their own? Your kids have got to be feeling the effects of this desperate attempt to have a baby that's "both of yours."

I see this all the time, people in second marriages who are desperate to have children with the new husband. It does hurt the children, because no matter how good the intentions of the parents, it is human nature to treat biological offspring different than step-children. Go ahead, do what "you want" without regard to the needs of the children you have already. You'll remember my post in about 10 years. You won't see this anyway, since you've given me a thumbs down.
