Low Progesterone Early Pregnancy- Do The Progesterone Pills Work? |
My levels are 11.2 at 6 weeks, so the doc gave me 200mg progesterone pills. Will this make my levels go up for sure or can it fail? My level was 9 with my daughter and I started on supplements til 14 weeks. I carried her to 35 weeks and she was born healthy. I had 3 losses prior to her and I know 2 were due to low progesterone. So, it worked for me. I also had 200mg. I used during my pregnancy.. it works.. you need to take until you are 12 weeks.. but don't neglect once you start taking them.. they wl help you carry your pregnancy for the first trimester I used progesterone suppositories....it kept my progesterone level up perfectly. I presume the pills would do the same. That said, anything can fail....but if you don't take the pills your level will not go up. well meds can always fail but more times than not they work. I was on progesterone with my first pregnancy and they worked well I have a 4 year old now, good luck |
