Does anyone know about low progesterone levels when you are pregnant? ? |
I went in for an ultrasound and the dr. told me that it didn't look like i had the progesterone cyst? so they took blood and told me today that normal levels for 5 weeks would be 15 and mine was an 11.1. What does this mean? How likely will I keep the baby? Has anyone else had this? Also how do you use the vaginal suppositories that they give you? Mine have like 200 mg of progesterone. Thanks! My wife had problems with low progesterone and had a few miscarriages. We finally found a specialist who suggested high dosages of progesterone daily through injection. I had to give her a shot every morning. When I was out of town on business, she went in to her doctors office for the injection. We had to do this for the first 3 maybe 4 months of her pregnancy but it was worth it, We had two healthy babies 13 and 15 years ago. We asked the doctor at the time if it could be taken any other way and he said there were supplements and other ways to take it orally but it wasn't enough. No idea how they do this today, probably through the suppositories but you should check with your doctor... Good luck to you. |

My wife had problems with low progesterone and had a few miscarriages. We finally found a specialist who suggested high dosages of progesterone daily through injection. I feel all those things without the shot so it could be just normal pregnancy symptoms. :) I'm almost 4 weeks. ...I had one, I was on clomid to conceive and as soon as I got the positive, I started on progesterone shots to help me keep the pregnancy. My son is now 15 weeks old and perfectly healthy. Talk to ... if your lp is short, start taking B6, it will help. The progesterone should help you as well. good luck. ...no those tests can't give a good progesterone level they only determine ovulation is happening. a blood test is the only way to determine your progesterone levels are good ...its just blood work, they will take a lot of blood (well i think its alot).
