Has anyone taken Prometrium for low progesterone? |
I have suffered 2 miscarriages and the doctor has perscribed Prometrium due to boarderline low progesterone. Has anyone taken this and if so did it help your levels? How often did you take it? My doctor told me to start taking it twice a day 3 days after ovulation. Is this what you did? Thanks!! i took mine (200mg) every nite after my BFP... at 1st my levels were at 309 at 4 weeks i had to take it with my second son for my the whole first trimester. My levels were really low. It made me very sleepy, so i had to take it in the afternoon, so i could have a nap. I only took it once a day. |

i took mine (200mg) every nite after my BFP... at 1st my levels were at 309 at 4 weeks 5 weeks went up 4242 6 weeks went up to 32,859 progesterone levels were at 27.33 so i would say yes, and st... you either didn't ovulate or you ovulated later than cd14 (which is more than likely). ...I didn't take shots but I was using suppositories because my progesterone was low to keep the pregnancy. I used them for 3 months every night. Don't know about shots though.. good luck! Yup perfectly fine. They do not counter act each other. I assume you are being medically followed as testosterone cream is prescription only - I assume bio-identical is what you are using. If yo... im in the exact same boat as you. I just did a beta pregnancy test which i know is negative because i was have period like cramps and took a hpt this morning and it was negative. Lost all my faith.... If you ovulated on CD 12 then when you take the test after that doesn't really matter. Your number will remain high until your body realizes you're not pregnant and your period starts. I... Hey girl!
