It is indeed B. Corpus luteum.

Ovulation occurs when LH (Luteinizing Hormone) levels rise dramatically. This rise in LH causes the corpus luteum to produce and secrete progesterone which carries on thickening the lining of the uterus as well as preventing a new follicle developing.

after ovulation, the graafian follicle does not disappear, it stays behind to produce progesterone to maintain the uterus lining
