Can you take fish oil with your regular medications for rheumatoid arthritis?

Can you take fish oil with your regular medications for rheumatoid arthritis?

You can take it with most prescription drugs. If you take NSAID's (over the counter anti-inflammatories such as advil) on a daily basis there can be a problem. Aspirin and drugs such as Advil thin your blood. Omega 3 (fish oil) thins your blood. So you need to be careful with the combination.

The best thing to do is ask your pharmacist. He or she can look at the specific drugs you are taking and tell you if there would be a problem.

Rusty.

Yes, fish oil works better on your joints, in combination with glucosamine, chondroitin and sea cucumber....as far as over the counter medications,I'm not sure.
