My eos is 9.2. I have rheumatoid arthritis-is this a cause?

all my labs are ok except for the eos. I am a72 year old female.

Hi, I also have rheumatoid arthritis and yes, you're right. Eosinophils (EOS) are white blood cells that become active when you have infections, allergic diseases and other medical conditions, including RA. Just having RA is enough to cause them to be high. Some meds, such as antibiotics and even laxatives can also trigger them to be high, also hay fever and asthma can too. Hope this helps. And sure hope your RA isn't acting up. :)
