I have just been told I have rheumatoid arthritis in it's early stages. Any tips, Please?

I am starting to find things like lifting my kettle painful. It could be far worse and it only seems to be in my hands at the mo but any tips for sites that supply stuff to make running a home with a young child easier? I am 38, female and in the U.K. I have a six year old son to keep up with too! Single parent so not alot of help with babysitting and things like that. And I write so that is gonna get tough as the symptoms worsen. I can type OK at the mo but I guess the day will come..... Thanks and Have Fun :0)

Because of other health issues I have (and the meds I am on..not to mention allergies!!) my doctor is finding the correct pain relief and I have been using many 'alternative' remeidies for years, hydrotherapy being one, acupunture another...and I take CERTAIN suplements :0)

make sure you keep your omega oils topped up..and take a look at these links...i suffer with it also and have found them to be helpful

Good Luck!!

My mum got rheumatoid arthritis when she was 22,now she's 48,it's not that bad and you will always be able to type on the computer,my mum was telling me lately that there is supposed to be new things to get rid of arthritis or make it better

Has your G.P.recommended physio? Swimming would be good for you or exercises in the water. I have hydra-therapy at the hospital and continue it in the local pool.
