What is the difference between Rheumatoid & Osteo Arthritis? osteo normally affects bones. rheumatoid affects the joints and muscles. this is more dibilitating. my fellas's sister is in her fifties and has had it since she was sixteen. her niece has it, she had her second child on the advice of doctors she is only 23 and they said if she leaves it longer she won't be able too! keep your chin up and know that people are trying to cure them both. Ostio, is wear and tear Arthritis, where the bones wear away because of overuse and is common. Rheumatoid is a disease, it affects other parts of the body too and is genetic but mostly runs in women in a family. It causes the bodys antibodies to attack its bones as if it were a foreign body, so the bones become eaten away at and disfigured.
