Does people in all countries get Bi Polar and Schizophrenia or do just Americans get it?

Does people in all countries get Bi Polar and Schizophrenia or do just Americans get it?

That's like asking if people in other countries have blue eyes or red hair or diabetes. Bipolar m.d. and schizophrenia are inherited genetic disorders.

I would say anyone in the world can get it, cuz it that doesnt discriminate.

they are human mental disorders, not limited to any one geographical area...so to put it in terms you can understand...yes they do "get" it elsewhere and no we don't "get" it only in America...

Do other people in other countries get the measles or just Americans?

Culture and the expectations of society on its citizens can play a role. What is acceptable in other countries may not be seens acceptable here. Mental illness has a long way to go. I'm sure it exists in other countries but it may not be recognized.

All countries have the same mental diseases. Other countries just have different treatments for each. Did you know that the United States statistically has a higher failure rate for the treatment of these diseases? Sweden for example has @ 60% less medicated rate with good results for Schizophrenia!

This is one of the easiest questions I've answered here. The rest of the world uses very similar criteria (ICD-10) that the U.S. uses (DSM IV-TR). Schizophrenia exists in 1% of the population world wide. That means 1% in the US, 1% in Britain, 1% in China, etc. Study after study confirms this. There are population pockets that appear to have higher percentages, but they are rare.

they are both HUMAN disorders so anywhere there are humans u will find these two mental disorders. But to prove the point i have a cousin in Australia that is schizophrenic
