Is there a cause of schizophrenia? |
Is there a cause of schizophrenia? A chemical imbalance. It's ususally genetic..and is often passed down through families. It's more on hereditary or genetics .. i'm pretty sure it's genetic...so it would be some sort of mutation? the only cause that i know of is extreme stress. other than that it could just run in your family. While there isnt a "cause," there are, or can be, "triggers", which are things a schizophrenic doesn't like or it could be a situation- a situation they feel endangered in, which allows them to start to show physical signs of schizophrenia. gentic. i worked with hundreds of schozphrenic for over 30 years. stress can also trigger schizophrenia, but the illness has to be there. you do not become schizophrenic , just because of stress. Doctors still dont know. Some doctors say it is caused when the child experiences a cut off of oxygen in the womb and some say its genetic... and some say its a chemical imbalance. I believe its either caused genetically or by the first thing mentioned. I'm one of the youngest cases of schizophrenia, been experiencing the symptoms since the age of 4 :( my mom was almost strangled during her pregnancy with me and it is genetic in my family. genetics, something that could have huge impact on your life. example Death, witnessing something tragic. Something that happens in the mind. yessa Although currently there is no known cause of Schizophrenia (only belief on what triggers it), scientists have made a recent breakthrough in discovering that it may be caused by genetic mutations, these errors are in genes related to brain development and neurological function: I heard that some people are at more risk than others if it runs in their family. Although the doctors and scientists believe a major event can trigger the illness. Through studies they have determined that over time there is a part of the brain that does deteriorate that controls the perception of input. Most schizophrenics hear voices, and believe they are coming from outside, and do not believe the voices are coming from within. |
