My friend thinks she has Schizophrenia..?

My friend thinks she has Schizophrenia, do you think she does?

"I think I hear my mom singing at like 1am every night but she's asleep in the next room. and I see people but blink then they're ~*gone~* and I picture like..littlee things like what I'm doing at school and then its like total deijavu. and uh I'm smart and I elerbreate too much on **** but then can't open a pack of noodles."

any one who is schizophenic is not going to think that they are. they are going to think that everyhting about them is perfectly normal. you friend is probably making this up and tellin gyou this because she wants a little attention. things at home might not be going so well for her. treat her the same and ignore this scgizophrenia crap. make a time for when you guys can talk privately about everything going on. be there for her.

Schizophrenia is complicated. There are a lot of different types, and even some personality disorders that involve similar symptoms. She needs to be evaluated and diagnosed by a professional - a psychologist or psychiatrist. It's very treatable with medication and therapy. Encourage her to talk to her parents about seeing someone.

Well. she is pretty screwed up. That's for sure.

Maybe she's just paranoid.
But it really doesn't sound like schizophrenia, she would have a lot more going on.

The symptoms of schizophrenia

Contrary to popular belief, schizophrenia is not a split personality. But the perceptions of reality in people with schizophrenia tend to be very different from those of people around them. People with schizophrenia often suffer following experiences:

hearing voices not heard by others
believing that others are reading their minds, controlling their thoughts or conspiring against them
hallucinations or delusions

Living in a world distorted by hallucinations and delusions tends to make people with schizophrenia feel frightened, anxious and confused. They may become isolated and fearful of the world around them. As a result, they often become withdrawn.

Schizophrenia also affects the behaviour of those suffering. Typical are:

aloofness or being withdrawn
appearing detached or preoccupied with things that may not be real
being immobile for hours, uttering sounds, being completely rigid
relentless urge to move or having to do things and not being able to sit still
being wide-awake, extremely vigilant and alert.

These unusual behaviours can make other people feel uncomfortable and sometimes even scare them.

The symptoms of schizophrenia can be divided into two types:
