Psychology question about schizophrenia? |
It says prognosis is poor and their interpersonal relationships are abnormal. To me this does not fit the criteria for a healthy relationship and all i ever wanted was a normal healthy relationship. Why can't i find one?This guy i talk to apparently has this disorder?Don't know for sure but if does than i don't think a real relationship is ever possible? Especially during psychotic episodes in which persons may hear voices or have hallucinations, it is very difficult to have empathy and understand the irrational thoughts. Medication is marginally effective in keeping these to a minimum. A relationship is possible with persons suffering from the affective disorders, but sometimes dealing with occasional irrational thoughts and behaviors is something the other person has to make a personal decision with.
