Making a poster about schizophrenia awareness and treatment?

Does anyone have any imaginative ideas to make it stand out, or a bit different?

Larry has it all wrong! Schizophrenia has nothing to do with a "split personality" or "multiple personalities". Those concepts are from the dark ages of psychiatry and were abandoned decades ago.

Show a very sad person with question marks over her head and her hand to her forehead in consternation being ministered to with compassionate touching by concerned family members both young and adult This exemplifies the confusion that is so characteristic of these disorders and the consternation it engenders in others.

First be aware that the clinical definition of Schizophrenia is ANY mental condition at all which GREATLY alters world view. Having an extremely split personality with starkly different or untenably conflicting multiple world views is but one form of the "full" disorder. Conversely, most people have a moderate form of this disorder in a controlled way, to cope with varying environments, duties, and moods. For your poster, you must determine whether it will be ordinary folks who think ONLY split personality is involved, or knowledgeable health care professionals, who will be the primary viewers of the poster. Cater to the group who will be doing the grading! Each of us has our own differences from others, of necessity to our sense of "self". Some collect inconsequential bits of whatever, or espouse certain involvements or causes, or whatever allows the mind to draw the line between itself and other minds. This "required and proper irrationality" goes with the territory of being cast upon this rock as we are, and to at least this minor extent, we are all a bit nuts. Ramakrishna once said that the people we call nuts are those who are no longer able to conceal or control it! Perhaps he overstated the case, but not by a whole lot! However, there is no need to worry, so long as we are feeling normal.....normal.....normal. One part of the poster could be contrasting strong colors, and the other part subdued mingled colors, suggesting the split personality. Regards, Larry.

well im a scrapbooker so mabey i could help! You measure the paper then you get a cool colored paper to go behind it. the rip or burn the edges. on the posterwhen you type things use cool colors and fonts. good luck!
