Schizophrenia or something else?

Say a person had a weird delusion, but say it was the only delusion they had. Say they didn't have any hullucinations though and everything else in their brain felt basically "normal". Would you then call this a fearful obscession? And what med would treat this?

Ok this delusion is very systematic and involves persecution from God. I know its not true but my brain won't shut off from it. When I say everything in my head feels "normal" I mean I feel completely sane otherwise so cound this be some kind of OCD fear or imagination gone out of control or something?

they might just be 15 or OCD or starting to devolope schitzo or it could be a trama reponse it could be a stress reaction

No one here can diagnose this. Delusions (especially about god or gods) are very common. See Richard Dawkins; "The God Delusion."; Houghton Mifflin Co., N.Y. NY, 2006.

No medication can correct a delusion in fact I doubt the efficacy of anti-psychotics in general although I have taken them all my life and no longer hallucinate (but may have delusions which are a matter of individual belief and opinion).

Your delusion may be a "fearful obsession" and if so is best corrected by studying science.

Good luck in your beliefs, good mental health, peace and Love!

Nobody with any education at all can answer this question. You are too vague. Be more specific and add some details.

(what is meant by "weird delusion", what is a "basically normal brain", what is a "fearful obsession?)

I am an RN (certified in Psych Nursing)

depends what the delusion is...can't really answer because you don't give enough info...sorry.

No one here can diagnose you.

If there are no hallucinations, schizophrenia would not be diagnosed. If the person is actually meeting criteria for a diagnosis (which we don't know with the limited amount of information provided), they might fit better into a category of delusional disorders or impulse control disorder such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, or possibly something else.

There are many different disorders in which delusions can be present.

What is the weird delusion?
