I got a question about schizophrenia? |
when a person has schizophrenia what's the voices like in their head? Do they actually hear a voice or is it just there consience talking to themselves? I talk to myself in my head constantly even as I'm typing this out about what to say etc. Do I have schizophrena? Or is schizo random voices that talk to you and you cannot control? They actually HEAR voices (auditory hallucinations) which are entirely out of their control. These voices may, for example, issue commands (e.g., go jump off that building, hide under the table immediately, purchase a gun and shoot that woman before she shoots you). For some, the voices are providing a running commentary (often derogatory) on what the individual is doing or thinking at the time. Talking to yourself is normal. As someone said, not every person with schizophrenia hears voices...schizophrenics when they do hear voices, actually HEAR them, they are not just thinking the words. I think it might be different for every schizophrenic person who has that particular symptom but I do know one girl who has it and has heard voices before and she told me that she heard 2 voices and each one was discussing her, although she didn't tell me exactly what they said. Other times I think it can be one voice. It's not something you can control; otherwise, my friend probably wouldn't have been so scared and in tears when she told me about it happening and doctors wouldn't give you medicine for it. must people who suffer from schizophrenia hear outside voices, not voices inside the head,as those type of voices stem from another disorder altogether. Those with schizophrenia hear voices,it can be one or many voices, depending on the schizophrenia type. the voices can bring on delusions of graduar or delusions where you feel people are out to get you.Sometimes they hear commanding ones telling them to do harmful things to themselves, which isn't good, sometimes the voices comment on the things they do,sometimes they believe they are hearing voices coming from the TV,very scarey for these people as to them they believe they are real. Going off what you have described, sorry but you are sane, lol I talk to myself often, even now as I type this reply. The voices that a person hears who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia are what they feel as real voices. The voices are often negative. in nature. not all schitzophrenics hear voices in their heads. that becomes a different disorder at that point. along with the schitzophrenia. |
