What is the Behavoiurist explaination for Schizophrenia?

What is the Behavoiurist explaination for Schizophrenia?

this model attempts to explain Sz in terms of conditioning and modelling. Ullman and Krasner say that people show the Sz behaviour when it is more likely to be reinforced such as by attention of hospital staff during the treatment phase. Scheffs labelling theory also argues that early experiences of punishment may lead to children retreating into an inner world which leads others to label them as "odd". once they are labelled they will then conform to this and their then increased bizarre behaviour will be rewarded with atention and sympathy. this makes it become even more exaggerated until it is diagnosed as Schizophrenia

The (flawed) behavioral explanation for schizophrenia would rest on the idea that the psychotic behaviors serve as a form of reinforcement for the patient (e.g., attention).

With biologically based conditions such as schizophrenia, a behavioral orientation simply is NOT appropriate nor is it beneficial in terms of case conceptualization and treatment.

most schizophrenics hear voices in their heads usually telling them to do things to hurt themselves or to continue bad habits, it's like the anti-conscience. Then most schizophrenics have multiple personality's as in one could be a physician a psychologist a lawyer or some other high paying job, when they are or could be something like a sanitation worker. it's almost like wishful thinking to an extreme degree.

Delusional behavior ,sometimes accompanied by paranoia/and often visions of grandeur. The possibility of harmful behavior and or aggression exists in some cases.

? they hear voices that's all i know ! V distressing and unhappy
