Can marijuana cause schizophrenia.....?

or death?

Ive reviewed a lot of answers on this forum and it seems that quite a few people think that marijuana has caused schizophrenia and death. Please post a link proving this.

This question is for official research to obtain the knowledge of the public in this matter and is written in accordance to Y!A guidelines.

Ive researched this and cannot find any proof yet . post a link please

Trigger but not cause schizophrenia is the proper terminology.
Many drugs especially combinations of drugs and alcohol can trigger but not cause schizophrenia

First of all many people with schizophrenia use what ever drugs that allow them to get away from their demons, they trigger what they already have especially with pills etc.
Note the ones that are manic depressive schizophrenics, this is a very common thing as manic depression bipolar decease is a denied but inherited decease it has been found that it comes from a defective gene and runs in families.. Sadly many families never admit this to their offspring. Also so many of them are suicidal to them selves and their children.
These people families
either from loss of ego the guilt embarrassment or not wanting to take the responsibility for their actions of passing on the defective gene. Or they just don't know about it they are so screwed up.
I know of a case where a father had siblings that had this disease and he wouldn't even take his own daughter to a Dr. for treatment rather than admit he knew because it ran in his family and refused to admit it. And this Father was on the N.Y.P.D.

I smoked A LOT of pot back in the day, and I'm not schizophrenic and the last time I checked I'm not dead either.

I've got a lot of stoner friends and they're just fine.

I figure if it grows in the ground, it's natural so how bad can it be. Smoking weed is a lot better than huffing paint or doing meth.

no but some people say that it can link to it, but thats a very small chance though unless maybe you smoke everyday for like years, and years and years and more years

i am proud to say i have started that at an early age. i am at the prime of my life and the only thing that had ever took a tole on me was booze. this is an answer to survey.

thats rediculous...marijuana doesnot kill. And a person must already have schizophrenic symptoms if they think its the pot doing it to them.

No, I looked it up and only one person in history has died from overdose on marijuana. It has less long term effects than drinking does.

yes its been known to cause users to become schizophrenic. I don't think it can kill you though.
