Schizophrenia question?

There is a person that is really close to me...and like 3 months ago, he admited to me that he's been hearing voices for 6 years now..:S thats crazy right? He never told this to anyone before...and I was shocked when he told me that he can comunicate with other 2 pple in his mind:S He is young...not 18 yet and I feel sorry 4 him, he doesn't want me to help him...the last time we talk abt that he said that he's not hearing anymore but I'm not sure I belive in that....I meen come on...6 years and now stoped...now way...he promis to me before that he will tell his mother (cuz she is a doctor) right when the summer begains but now he says that there is no need to tell her cuz he is not hearing them voices anymore...hH...I keep telling him that he might have a shizophrenia but he doesnt want to hear me? What should I do? Maybe call his mum?

Schizophrenia does NOT spontaneously remit, unfortunately. It will only intensify without medication.

please talk to his mom ,it would be the best thing you could do for your friend, schizophrenia, is a chemical in-balance in the brain and can be control , to at least a functional state of mind, if you want to watch a great show , rent the movie a brilliant mind,with i know his last name is crow and please get your friend to seek professional help, because the longer he wait the harder it is to get him regulated on meds and this mental illness don't go away , but it can get to were he stable under control by medicines. now go talk to his mother,

I have had schizophrenic disorder for over 7 years listening to voices but not seeing things taking medication but my case have not resolved yet .i used to say its ok only because i don't want to cause problems or don't want others to call me crazy.

If he had Schizophrenia he wouldn't be questioning it.
