What causes loss of brain matter in schizophrenia ? |
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NMDA_recept... I'm not so sure it has been definitely shown that there is any real correlation between brain matter and schizophrenia, which is not a single disease but a spectrum of disorders. Most medical researchers into mental health problems (neurocscientists) are materialistically oriented attaching great significance to brain structure and the symptoms of mental disorders. There is not much definitive evidence such correlations exists. As a schizophrenic (lifelong) I am just as convinced that paranoid schizophrenia is caused by external (immaterial) factors. |
