Can marijuana withdrawal make someone think they have schizophrenia?

I recently quit smoking marijuana and have been going through marijuana withdrawal. Is it possible that the withdrawal could cause me to think that i have mental problems such as schizophrenia?

Yes. Marijuana withdrawal and schizophrenia share a few similar symptoms, such as hearing voices and having delusions.

Please see a doctor if you have such symptoms.

Ok, this question should only be answered by people that smoke marijuana, not people that read or hear bullshit about it.

I have been a smoker for 5 years now, somebody very close to me has been a smoker for over 20 years, we have never had a withdrawal symptom when we didn't have weed for months.
So, in my experience and opinion there is no such thing as withdrawal symptoms due to marijuana use. If you are having any mental issues it's probably due to something else.

there is evidence that cannibis use can bring out these types of conditions in a person that is already predisposed to such illness. If you really are ready to give up for good, see a psychiatrist in order to prevent these withdrawal/early warning signs/symptoms and also address the issue which made you use cannibis in the first place.....
Good luck!!

I have smoked tons a day for years and had to quit some times to pass a piss test for jobs and what not.

I never had any problem quiting smoking

It felt a bit weird but I got over it within days

try quiting cigarettes after a year of smoking and then you'll know what crazy feels like

Marijuana withdrawl? That don't really exist. All that really happens when you stop smoking weed is that you find un-stoned life in general pretty boring for awhile, but you get over it soon enough.

yes very much so
