Are there any relations between demons and schizophrenia?

I happened to notice that many people who have schizophrenia suffer delusions of the devil, evil creatures, demons, ect. and talk about communicating with demons above everything.

What do you think is the meaning of this?

schizophrenia is not limited to hallucinations regarding *spirituality*..other common hallucinations..the govt planted a chip in the head...black copters be followin me...ufos

schizophrenia is some sad painful stuff. i thank goddess i'm not a schizo

Yes, they see hallucinations of demons (not delusions). It is very common to see reflections in mirrors. Usually a hallucination will be only visual or auditory.....visual is very common. You will see schizophrenic (SX) people covering mirrors in their homes/ closing blinds...anything that reflects. You also see people in hospital trauma units (near death) also reporting the same phenomena...reflections of demons in Tvs, anything that reflects. So...what does it mean? huhhhh (psychologist)

Luke 8:27-36
And when He came out onto the land, He was met by a man from the city who was possessed with demons; and who had not put on any clothing for a long time, and was not living in a house, but in the tombs.Seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, "What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me."
For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man.
For it had seized him many times; and he was bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard, and yet he would break his bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert. And Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" And he said, "Legion"; for many demons had entered him. They were imploring Him not to command them to go away into the abyss. Now there was a herd of many swine feeding there on the mountain; and the demons implored Him to permit them to enter the swine. And He gave them permission. And the demons came out of the man and entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned. The people went out to see what had happened; and they came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting down at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind; and they became frightened.
Those who had seen it reported to them how the man who was demon-possessed had been made well.

Definitely! I strongly believe spiritual warfare to be linked with schizophrenia.
During the biblical days of old, we can read in many places of the new testament, where Jesus cured many people of being possessed by demons. Of course at that time there was no medical terminology for these types of diseases. But they were very prevalent in those days. Well, they still are. The only difference is, besides attatching a medical description of this, we can also medicate the illness.
However this does nothing to cure the illness. Medication just suppresses it. Sometimes, through therapy few are able to live normal lives, but rarely without the aid of some form of medication. Most live out their lives with medication and are never quite the same as before this was evident in the the patient's life.
My daughter is deeply afflicted with this disease. I believe she has had this from a very early age, maybe three or four.
She was raised by her father from the age of twelve. But way before this, I knew that she was very different from my other five children. Her father was obsessed with her from birth. I don't know what happened or exactly when, I just know, even at five years old, she would never play with other children. She never had friends, all her life. By the time she was twenty there was something viscious about her nature.
I remarried a few years before she went to live with her dad.
I had two more daughters. She was so jealous of them that I could not leave her alone with them for a second. I learned this the hard way! Eventually she was calling CPS on us claiming all sorts of abusive behavior. Every time CPS came, they found nothing wrong. But it was stressful, none the less. It also placed such a hardship between her and my other family. My husband wanted nothing to do with her, understandably. But at the same time, I knew she was crying out for help. I am her mother, yet I was unable to help her.
She was twenty-eight when she drove her car into a tree; an attempted suicide. She told the authorities that satan told her she had to kill herself, in order to save all of mankind.
She is now thirty. She hears voices all the time and sees hell in the most grotesque visions of her mind. She sees spirits coming at her trying to grab at her.
She is taking so much medication for this, It will be a miracle if she is ever normal again. I pray for her constantly.
I have prayed for her all her life. She has come a long way in a year and a half. She has God in her life now. She still has her problems with this. But I know in the very depths of my soul, that this is the workings of negative forces that are so prevalent in the world today. I know that prayer and faith is the only way I can help my daughter ever recover.
Thank-you for the opportunity to share my story. :D
