Having a horrible relapse of my schizophrenia? |
i cant tell if its real or not. anything. its either real or just a horrible relapse. anyone suffer from schizophrenia or a like illness? what can you do in times of paranoia and seeing the hallucinations or delusions its scary :( they are in my house. yes i have seen doctors in the past, 5 psychiatrists and multiple councilors, been hospitalized involuntarily, and am on cymbalta 30mg and invega 3mg soon to be moved up onc ei tell her (my psychiatrist) what is happenin on tuesday. any help would be most appreciated! As far as hallucinations, I don't know..... for me listening to music became a part of my delusions....... so I can't really recommend listening to music to minimize symptoms. I would recommend taking yourself to the nearest ER for admission. Medication adjustments only take a few days. As you already know waiting out the hallucinations/delusions is usually unsuccessful. Cymbalta is minimally effective in treating schizophrenia, however positive results have been documented with Invega ususally around 6-9 miiligrams. However for compliance issues many patients like the Haldol Deconate shot which can last for 2 weeks to a month, Invega shot lasting a 2 weeks, or Risperdal Consta lasting 2 weeks to a month. awww sweety, I'm sorry you are having a hard time. My boyfriend is having a relapse right now himself, and should be in the hospital but is not. One of you has to go, and all signs point to you still being here enough to help yourself. Be strong, I know it's frightening, but you are very brave, you can do this. Pick up your phone and call a friend or a family member and go to the ER before the symptoms get away from you, and you become to ill to help yourself. Thanks for answering my question dude |
