Is it possible to grow out of this illness? Can a person control the symptoms or does it really require medication? You don't grow out of it. Period. No you cannot grow out of schizophrenia. The symptoms seem to get less severe when you get older. I don't know if that is because I take medicine or if it just peaks and then starts to slow down. My boyfriend can manage himself pretty well without medication. |
