Is there any remedy for schizophrenia?

Aside from the routine addressing the symptoms, is there a known therapy or medicine that can solve the condition once and for all..I have researched several materials on the subject, but none seem to give a full answer.

Mark Vonnegut, son of Kurt Vonnegut, developed schizophrenia. He was found to be suffering from nutrient deficiencies, and after he was taken to a hospital ward and started eating right and was given some anti-psychotic medication, he was completely cured.

Vitamin deficiencies are common causes of schizophrenia and depression, particularly the latter.

Heavy metals, such as mercury which is neurotoxic, have been linked to schizophrenia and similar ailments (psychosis, dementia, and so forth). Exposure to other chemicals such as solvents can also cause this.

You could get a urine provocation test to see your body burden of heavy metals. Chelation treatment is then used to remove these metals. Amalgam fillings are a common source of mercury and metal exposure.

Overall, there is no cure for schizophrenia, outside of a few cases.

My own personal story, I used to have very vivid hallucinations when I was a child, and my family doctor and psychiatrist both said I was at very high risk of developing schizophrenia as a young adult (early 20s or so). I was later found to be heavily intoxicated with mercury, and have avoided exposures. I didn't know about chelation treatment at the time, but several years later when I was 13, the hallucinations stopped and I'm fairly healthy now.

Hello,

There are various forms of schizophrenia. Ambulatory form occurs and then all but completely vanishes from the lives of people. Most cases are more profound, with relapsing psychotic episodes.

Anti-psychotic medication is prescribed; psychotherapy is recommended. There is no cure. Only relief of symptoms. It isn't fair.

This is why I would dearly love to swap majors and pursue relentlessly the causes of mental illnesses until we finally have answers.

I do not think there is any way to "cure" schizophrenia completely, as in remove all traces of symptoms permanently. There are treatments that help control it, but beyond that I think it's something that must be lived with. Never have I heard anything about curing schizophrenia.

there is no cure for schizophrenia

No, there is only treatment for the symptoms.
