Does Anyone Have Schizophrenia ?

Im 14 and my nurse said i may have schizophrenia, i just wondered if you have it how you cope with it, because atm i reeli cant...

You didn't mention any symptoms you have, but the nurse is guessing. You really need to see a psychiatrist to determine if you do have schizophrenia or another disorder - or even if it's nothing.

If you want to read more on schizophrenia, there is a very good book, "Surviving Schizophrenia: A Manual for Families, Patients, and Providers" by E. Fuller Torrey, Fifth Edition. I know Barnes & Noble has it. It is very good reading and tells a lot about schizophrenia - what it is, how it's treated, and how to deal with it.

I don't suffer from it personally but I have known people that have. This diagnosis does not have to have a huge impact on your life ok? If you are positively diagnosed you will be given medication - take it, attend therapy and there's no reason you wont grow up to be as normal as anyone else. People who are schizophrenic are actually often very talented in certain areas like art or music, see it as a gift.

My friend has accute schizophrenia and he copes it with it by taking a medicine that doesn't heal him but relax him and prevents him from seeing stuff.
