What is schizophrenia, do you know anyone who has it how do they manage it? |
What is schizophrenia, do you know anyone who has it how do they manage it? I don't know that much about schizophrenia and I don't read to much about mental illnesses cause then you start to think that you have them. But schizophrenia is basically a gross detachment from reality basically. It's not when you have multiple personalities or anything like that. There are different types of schizophrenia and things of that nature. Um, generally you have a problem distinguishing what's real from what's not. Hallucinations both auditory and visual are present. Along with paranoia, delusions and other things that present themselves depending on what type you have. It is difficult to manage but with medication and therapy you can go on to live an active and functional life. There are a lot of things to schizophrenia though I will say that and it is not as cut and paste as I layed out. Um, I don't have schizophrenia, but I do share the symptoms of schizophrenia along with a mood disorder so there you go. schizoeffective disorder. After I got diagnosed I didn't read anything about it. No point. They thought I had schizophrenia at first if that tells you anything. I don't know if you wanted to know for you or someone else. A chronic, severe, and disabling brain disease. People with schizophrenia often suffer terrifying symptoms such as hearing internal voices I know some one who had schizophrenia. He managed with anti psychotic drugs. Consult a clinical psychiatrist. Or visit Institute of Mental Health at Hyderabad. |
