Am I developing Schizophrenia? Or is it just my panic and dissacocation disorder? |
Well ever since I was little I was a "sensitive" kid. I used to be the kid who would have to know that mom was ok with me. If I had a question I would ask her many times until she responded and if I yelled at her and threw a tantrum I would apologize till she started yelling again. I also had alot of OCD, but I never had the cleanliness part of it, just like tics or movements I thought I HAD to do. I also had alot of anxiety and Agoraphobia. But now after a marijuanna caused panic attack which made me pass out and hit the front of my head on the tar, I have felt strange. Im not sure if its just dissacociation but sometimes I feel either detached from me or everything else and it makes me go into a "fog" where lights hurt my eyes and I feel really confused. Sometimes I notice that I dont form sentences right when I am like that. I also always have a pressure in my head that feels like it moves around which causes me to do a strange facial tic of moving my lip and rubbing my head. In school I also have many panic attack which make me tired. Please help me, I just dont want to end up with something serious. Oh and also, sometimes even when Im calm I dont feel like me, I feel like I dont have my emotions and myself I don't think any of us are in a position to give you this answer. Only your doctor is and I do hope you are seeing one. It would be good to make an appointment and discuss all this with him/her. If you do have a mental health issue, marijuana will only make it worse so stop the marijuana. A dissociative disorder is very very rare. Nobody has all these disorders at the same time, there are overlaps and you can have 2-3 but I haven't seen patients who have had more. You should be evaluated by a professional It's not schizophrenia, its just a combination of anxiety and disassociation disorders, amplified by marijuana making it seem that way. Seriously, stop smoking pot. If you need medication use something designed to help like a prescribed medication from a psychiatrist, not an illegal substance. I'm assuming you are getting professional help? Please say you are getting professional help. If you are not getting professional help, I would suggest that you get some professional help. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?... HELP MEEE God loves you...no matter what... You're not mentally ill. You sound pretty normal to me, apart from your uneducated self-diagnosing. As someone who has studied psychology, you don't sound like you have any of the things you think you do. Um.. how long ago did you hit your head? Guys, the effect of pot does not last past a few hours when you're using it. If he is still feeling detached when he's NOT smoking, that has nothing to do with the pot. Sounds like ever since you hit your head, you've been having these issues. Did you ever go get checked out for a concussion? Being in a fog, light hurts your eyes, feeling disoriented and confused, pressure in your head... you need to go to a doctor about possibly having a concussion. I'm no expert, but it doesn't sound like you have schizophrenia at all. You don't have hallucinations or delusions. Start with going to a normal physician about your head, and if they find nothing wrong, move on to speak with a psychologist or some sort of mental health expert. |
