Any genetic disorder can happen without history(though schizophrenia is only part genetic). It's called mutation. A few genes might change in the womb and you might be the first person in your lineage to get it. For example, scientists believe that a mutation in Queen Victoria's DNA caused her to be a carrier of hemophilia as there is no evidence of the disease in royal bloodlines before then.
