What does it feel like to have schizophrenia?

What does it make you feel like and what does the "other" personality feel like?

The above are stereotypes. Not everyones the same and theres no other personality and only some people hallucinate to see or hear other people theres all forms of syptoms. It can be confusing and scary, panicky for some as things overload in your mind from the past etc subconcious and conspire against you to hurt you. Stress and tension like your head is going to burst, Racing thoughts which mean lack of sleep which hand in hand gives that terrible irritable feeling everyone feels with no sleep. Depressed feelings anxiety, its horrible.
Then theres some people who arent stressed at all and might hear voices all their lives but dont bother the person yet these people can be labelled with this illness.

I had 'it' for about 2 years ( diagnosed that is) i got better when i found someone who listened to me and what i really meant about things. The therapist saw there was trauma that i myself hadnt remember and listened to me, and didnt think i was mentally ill at all. The doctors and psychs didnt like that i didnt 'need' drugs anymore. After about 8 months of talking the stress eleviated alot but not entirely as anxietys still here but i dont think people are out to get me anymore ! The strangest thing was that when i was listened to and believed with genuine compassion i stopped being scared of the dark (lifelong fear) and stopped seeing these very faint shadows at the edge of my eye.

to be told you have this disease is the worst part the stress and worry and hopelessness is devastating and very complex emotions, it makes you feel worthless. I wish others were treated with compassion (real genuine) and listened to. Maybe they could be helped. Im confident many people could be without medication but real care. Anyway ive been much better now for 3 years no medication no symptoms at all no more therapy it stopped after 14 months. Just panicky anxiety still which sucks.

Theres no universal feeling for the illness everyones different.

that is exactly what i thot.
i thought it would be cool or fun to hallucinate and hear things
its not just seeing things and hearing things...
you are delusional
you think things... not necessarily bad things just very weird things
all the time. your brain doesn't turn off. you will believe almost everything you see or hear. because if you hear something your going to think its real right? at first you might enjoy the voices n stuff but then you listen to what they say and start to go more crazy day by day and not even know it. when you hear the voices its like you hear them as if someone where to be sitting in front of you talking to you. but no one is there. also whispers and sounds around you. it is not fun. after a while you say oh i am tired of these voices and you go kinda krazy.

its like being always high on a drug kind of. like being high on bad acid trip. there is no good way to explain what schizophrenia feels like. if you knew what it felt like you would go crazy.

There isnt an other personality, theres another person.

You see people who aren't really there and you hear voices.
