I AM SCHIZOPHRENIC. IS SCHIZOPHRENIA INCURABLE?I HAVE SCHIZOPHRENIA FROM 8 YEARS.I know this only from 5 days? |
Am i too late?or is there still many chances of me getting cured?I WANT TO MEET A good psychiatrist. Please let me know the name and address of the psychiatrist residing in Mysore or Bangalore AND ALSO THE IMPORTANT WEBSITES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS DISEASE. You are not doomed for life with your condition. People do overcome mental disabilities (I HATE the term mental illness because it's negative connotation) in time with the right medicines and treatment. I've seen and heard of people all the time who, after years of treatment, overcome their chemical imbalance well enough to no longer need their meds (but ONLY with the help of their doctor's decision) and move onto bigger and better lifestyles. So don't give up. Just do what you got to do for treatments. Don't let anyone tell you and don't feel like you will always have your condition because with the right treatment, someday you will overcome this. I've had major depression for 14 years, and I'm almost over it. It may not be the same thing, but they both are a form of chemical imbalance. Good luck! My brother is schizophrenic. No it is not curable. But it can be controlled with medication. There are also different types such as chronic and paranoid shizophrenia. I cannot help you with a psychiatrist in your country, but here is a good website. It has info on many mental illnesses as well as support group info. http://www.nami.org Hi there. That brings me memories of that day I found out, it was confusing and I was breathless and astounded. I took Seroquel and Risperdal then gave them up and left behind a great treatment, therapy sessions and very caring kind doctor, because I knew God had a plan for me and this was and still is and will always be a part of it! I wish you lots of luck, I also would be more than happy to hear form you and any other questions just send me an email! november2005@hellokitty.com |
