Schizophrenia is a psychiatric diagnosis for a mental health condition.
Parkinson's is a neuro-muscular disease.

no. you cannot attribute one symptom to one neurotransmitter (dopamine). Dopamine is found in many brain pathways with totaly different and separate functions. parksinons results from selective loss of dopamine neurons in the nigrostriatal brain pathway, a pathway which control muscle movements. Schizophrenia has two basic causes: overactivty in dopamine recptors in the mesolimbic dopamine pathway, a pthway involved in learning and reinforcement, and a loss of cortical tissue particulary around the frontal lobes, which are involved in understanding social rule and planning.
