I have Schizophrenia?

i actually love being a schiz, it's very unusal in a comforting way. you feel very much different from the rest of the world, and you could live off of your own thoughts, without someone else's for a long time. it's like having a very interesting and fun meeting in your head, all day everyday. you could never get bored with it. =D i don't know why people view it as a bad thing, or as a disease, and i absolutely hate how doctors could give people a pill to "cure" the "disease", only because it is not normal. i hate how people today wish to be so much as, normal!!! anyway, i just wanted to know your thoughts about Schizophrenia, and what you think as pros and cons of it.

I am skeptical that you are telling the truth. Internal voices are seldom comforting, they usually interfere with sleep and most often the content of their speech is highly critical of the person who's suffering from the symptoms. In addition, the hallucinations and delusions make organizing thoughts a significant challenge, and your paragraph is well phrased and ordered. Finally, schizophrenics have difficulty acknowledging that their brains generate the voices, yet you state you could "live off of your own thoughts."

If I give you the benefit of the doubt, your symptoms are exceedingly mild; if you are being truthful, there's a slight chance you may have a low-level mania, as well, although I could not tell without a psychiatric assessment. If however, you are misleading people on this topic for your own ejoyment, you have an odd and insensitive manner

Its true, its not a disease, its just difficult to get around the "normal" aspects of society. People with certain mental differences actually are good for a society, because they have a different aspect of the way things are.

Well i think my mom might have it and she has gone completely looney.. .and now my grandparents have to take care of me and my 3 sisters becuz my mom is mentally unfit to be a mother.
So i think schizophrenia is a disease if it causes my mother to not be able to take care of her own fricken children.
If you enjoy it and you can still tell the difference between reality and the schitzo attacks, good for you.
its good you feel that way. its all how you feel about it if you feel you can live a happy life with it and be so called "normal" more power to ya.
