Do people with schizophrenia improve with age? |
Bob Rungta....TPMC Consultancy INC. Schizophrenia is a disease that typically begins in early adulthood; between the ages of 15 and 25. Once diagnosed, they have it for the rest of their lives. Currently there is no cure. It is not something they find more of the older you get. So, there are fewer schizophrenias in aged people. Source(s): http://www.schizophrenia.com/ http://www.lighthouseofhalo.com/... To my knowledge, if left untreated, no it will only get worse. depends on the person involved the problem with the medication with scitzophrenia is its so good that people with the illness stop takeing it thinking there fine only to suffer a relapse one of the best things for anyone with the ilnesses is emotional suport and i know this because someone close to me in my family has the disease No, you will have it for the rest of your life. And, with every relapse, the symptoms are worse. I know, because I have it. i got worse i wish i felt like i did when i was in my twenties i got worse now im in my fourties. seeing things now but not then. self |
