My son has schizophrenia, how can I support him to the best of my abilities.?

My son has schizophrenia, how can I support him to the best of my abilities.?

i have diagnosed with schiz. 6 years ago and about for 1 year i am fine. i think the most important thing you can do is keeping him away of stress or stressfull atmosphere. and medication is only half the way. other half is his love of life and motivation.
i suggest talking to a doctor rather than a bunch of random people who don't know....good luck.
Always keep the line of communication open.

Make sure he takes his medication and stays in treatment. This is the best thing you could possibly do for him and is something that psychotic illnesses interfere with.
Well try to pretend that it is his last day. Let your spirit upon him
You don't seriously expect to get an answer to an important question like that here on the joke known as Yahoo Answers do you?

You want an answer to that question, seek professional help. I'd start by talking to the doctor who diagnosed and is treating your son.

Any other advice I or anyone else here on Yahoo Answers gives you is completely worthless.

If you take any advice other than seek professional help, you are doing your son a serious disservice.
