DOPAMINE
not that i know of , it is a usually hereditary brain chemical imbalance. drugs could put your brain chemicals out of whack though.
It can definitely give and cause the same symptoms...and end up with permanent brain damage...many people that are already that way, are actually prescribed a medicine with similar properties as amphetamines, ,,because they are very tired from the illness and it gives them energy..but i have known people, one in particular who is suffering now from brain damage, as a result from years of abuse, and it is permanent.

The symptoms can be very similar. Both conditions can bring on hallucinations and delusions. But when they're caused by amphetamines it's diagnosed as Amphetamine-Induced Psychotic Disorder. Syndromes that meet criteria for schizophrenia are only diagnosed as schizophrenia after drug intoxications or withdrawals have been ruled out.
