Is this OCD or schizophrenia? |
o.k here is the thing i am very timid to people maybe because am scare of what they say or how they look at me specially with hot girls. anyways sometimes i think of embarasing thoughts on my mind and i think people can hear them so i try to stop but the more i try to stop the more it comes specially when there is a lot of people. do you think its OCD or schizophrenia? also am not crazy i dont have dillusions or something like that its just my thoughts bother me a lot and am not slow or dumb am prety smart. and one last thing is schizophrenia or ocd a family deceize like if you have it would your son or daughter have it too? thnx for their help any one who answers!!! :-) You are not ocd . Ocd is like when you have to chick everything 5time then go back and do again. Or like me I have to count everything in a room when I go in and when I go out . You are a man that is shy that all you will get better. My husband was the same way. But your ok . And To do it go to you kids Some thing go to your kids And Ocd I know it does because my oldest has it but I don't know what else . you sound like an ordernary guy to me, we all get it just bite ya tongue and you`ll be okay, and that thing about people, is paranoia! Hard to say exactly...you say that you think people can hear your thoughts...obviously,they can't,so it sounds like you are not in touch with reality here...however,what you are describing, generally, sounds more like OCD. I think you need a referral to a good psychiatrist to sort this one out. Doesn't sound like OCD to me, as what would be your "obsession" or "compulsion"? you may want to talk to a psychiatrist or psychologist though. I have a friend who has the same type of problem and he has been given every diagnosis under the sun over the years. He just learned to deal with it but meds may help. Yes, some of those types of illnesses run in families, but it's not 100% positive your child would have it. Schiznoid maybe, definetly not O.C.D. (obsessive compulsive disorder). You don't have to be "crazy" to suffer from mental illness. Alot of us are quite bright thank you. You need to speak to your doctor about this, it could get alot worse. |
