Anyone got rid of schizophrenia? if so, how did it happen? Let your pure mind, your heart control every behavior of you before acting Schizophrenia like manic depression, alcoholism and many other diseases requires life long treatment. There is no cure and if anyone has told you that there is or has been 'cured' is lying. Schizophrenia is one of the most difficult mental illnesses to treat. There is no cure. Typically the onset begins in late teens, early 20's. The biggest problem with treatment is compliance with taking meds. Many people stop taking their meds when they feel better, and then spiral out of control. It seems to be a cyclical illness, at times much worse than others.The link below is very interesting.
