Do people that have schizophrenia have shorter life spans?

Yes, due to lifestyle (nutrition, smoking, etc), comorbid medical illness (diabetes, heart disease) and suicide.
I don't think so--it runs in my family and everyone's growing to a ripe old age. Unless the paranoia leads you to kill yourself, you should be fine physically.
probably on average cuz they're more likely 2 kill themselfs or b murdered. but if u exclude murder and suicide then no. unless any of their medications have bad side-effects that mess up their body.
