What are some symptoms of Schizophrenia?

i want them to be true, and have been proved.

The big thing to look for is evidence of bizarre thinking. This may be joining two completely unrelated ideas, thinking following bad logic, evidence of hallucinations or delusions. None of these will prove schizophrenia, but they are found in most forms.

Honestly, your best proof of schizophrenia is if a psychiatrist makes a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Source(s): I am a psych nurse.
Hearing voices or sounds, perceiving things in an altered way or seeing hallucinations, having paranoid or dosordered thoughts. There are many different types of symptoms. The main thing is, if you are schizophrenic, you don't know it. You believe the voices are real and the way you think is correct etc.. This is what differentiates different disorders where you may be having hallucinations but you know they can't be real or question whether they are real, for instance.
Catatonic type:

Motor disturbances
Stupor
Negativism
Rigidity
Agitation
Inability to take care of personal needs
Decreased sensitivity to painful stimulus
Paranoid type:

Delusional thoughts of persecution or of a grandiose nature
Anxiety
Anger
Violence
Argumentativeness
Disorganized type:

Incoherence (not understandable)
Regressive behavior
Flat affect
Delusions
Hallucinations
Inappropriate laughter
Repetitive mannerisms
Social withdrawal
Undifferentiated type: Patient may have symptoms of more than one subtype of schizophrenia.

Residual type: Prominent symptoms of the illness have abated, but some features - such as hallucinations and flat affect - may remain.
Not to be condescending, but why are you looking on yahoo answers for a question that needs to be answered by a psychiatrist. I will honestly say I dont know.
