What would the symptoms of Schizophrenia in an 8 year old be if they diagnosed children with it,?

usually schitzoprenia does not occur until age 15 or older.

some symptoms of schitzophrenia are:
hearing voices,
seeing things
having delusions. Source(s): go to http://www.nami.org for more information on schitzophrenia.
hearing voices
but it doesn't strike that early.
First of all, it is rare that an eight year old would be diagnosed with scizophrenia. However, symptoms of schizophrenia include delusions, hallucinations(auditory, visual, gustatory, tactile, and olfactory),and one or more of the following: cognitive slippage (word salad speech), unusual speech patterns, thought blocking, isolationism, excessive daydreaming, sometimes other bizarre behavior such as playing with feces or walking aimlessly outside at night in one's underware or night gown.

It should be noted that schizophrenia is a thought disorder and not a split personality as often believed and promoted.

Cheers!
Personal Knowledge
