Should I get help for schizophrenia? |
Everyone tells me it's really serious and I should get help... it just really doesn't seem like a big deal. Sure, I'm antisocial and I hear voices... but I like it that way. I know they say there's a risk of suicide, but I would never do that. Why is it such a big deal to get help for it? I just doesn't seem that bad to me. Listen. If you ever, EVER injure yourself tell someone. If the voices want to hurt you, or someone, tell. This can take control very fast. It can make you completely hysteric and agitated. I realize that you would ever do it, but the chances are there. It you think you need help, you need help. If you think you don't you could need help, but if you arn't willing to accept help it's useless. Please just be careful. I know what it's like in some ways. Blessings. Hearing voices is a terrible curse on people who really hear them. They can't shut them out. Please don't make fun here. You wouldn't make fun of someone with cancer or sleep apnea, would you? Schizophrenia is a mental illness and can be treated with medication. Anyone who suspects they are suffering from it should see a doctor. If you know you are the one suffering from Schizophrenia & are not on medications how were you diagnosed? I am going to call your bluff. I work with people who are schizophrenic & they do not act like you. They can not rationalize any of this that you are saying. Usually they are in denial. You are the opposite. I think this is a bad joke of some kind. |
