Are there any people with schizophrenia out there....who feel out of tune with the human race?

I got schizophrenia when I was 14. It has been a battle. A real battle. I would never give this disease to anyone.

I just wanted to respond to say that I'm sorry you're going through this. You're right, schizophrenia is a terrible struggle although I don't have it myself.

Not to minimize what you're going through, but a lot of people feel out of tune with people and the world. Things can be frightening in the world and people can give out a lot of mixed message, but there are many caring people too.

Do you have a good support network like family and friends? Are you getting good treatment from a therapist or psychiatrist?
It's important to take good care of yourself with nutrition, exercise and the proper meds so if you're not doing so already then I encourage you to do all of these.

If you're not doing this already then you should look into finding a support group for others with schizophrenia. Sometimes mental health centers will offer group therapy or day treatment services so that you can find some help and support. In this way you may feel a little more in touch with other people.

There's a website called Schizophrenia.com that offers information and support which you can find at http://www.schizophrenia.com/

I wish you all the best and take care of yourself :)
