Is it a sign of schizophrenia?

i am a student,20.i was very shy, and never talk to some of the girls in my class,but i wanted to know what they think.so sometimes i deliberately cough after them or do the same thing as they did to express my favor for them.for example , to wear the same glass,to sit in the symmetry place in the classroom...just to be close to them.furthermore,For years,i thought the sounds of coughing made by boys and girls in class imply their favor for the student who they cough after.To put it simply , i believed sometimes the girl who cough after me has a special feeling for me. so at that time i thought me and some of the girls have a privity, donot speak, just cough.
of course, now i know that was my own wishing thinking.
so,Is it a sign of schizophrenia,or just a misconception,or illusion?
additionally,during that time, i was absorbed in internet,playing truant, and was always in a rush ,but gained nothing in the end.

Not a sign of sczophrenia, at all...I think it is something like kids do when they are young...when ever my sis and I used to see a red car go by, that meant we were going to have a cute boyfriend..LOL..how the heck we came up with that one I could never say..but kids do those things...you are very young...you best be sure the girl you do end up with has no allergies or smoke, so you can be sure lol...good luck darlin

I think it is a misconception, perhaps wishful thinking on your part. I do not believe that a cough necessarily conveys any meaning whatsoever, and probably not interest in a person.
Don't think it's schizophrenia, just maybe a desire to fit in or a mild case of OCD
I think you have built up coughing in your head. Because someone coughs after you it just means they have to cough. You need to get out of your head and into something helpful. Volunteer to help someplace and things might get better. Good luck.
dont stress its not a sign of Schizophrenia. Just a misconception. wishful thinking on your part. If you start hearing voices speaking to you through the tv or radio, or start losing large amounts of time then take yourself to you doctor!
