Give me a living example of schizophrenia? |
Give me a living example of schizophrenia? Alright. I'm a pharmacy tech and I have seen an episode of schizophrenia. A woman came in and she was so very, very talkative. She would not stop yelling. She wasn't angry, but she was just talking to me and yelling. She talked about everything from being on a budget to her husband to celebrities. She was very disruptive using bad language and was constantly moving from side to side. Another time she came in to pick up her medicine, and she was completely normal and sweet. She didn't say much and was soft spoken. I think these personality differences was an example of her schizophrenic disorder. If I were u Id look it up on the net. It is a very personal problem that affects many ppl in the world. 2 give an example 2 me is hurful 2 the sufferers. Me, myself, and Irene......starring Jim Carrey. I was once sitting on a bus and this old lady at one moment be sitting quietly and explode violently the next. She would randomly slam her purse, grab at something in the air, yell threats and profanities (at no one in particular), and even spit. This went on for 15 minutes until she reached her stopping point. The woman exited the bus, cheerfully thanking the driver. Mental illness is very delibilating. Imagine how it will be like to have virtually no control over your mind and perceptions. First off... to the above answerers, schizophrenia is NOT multiple personalities. That is two completely different disorders. It is common for someone with schizophrenia to also have multiple personalities, but they are still two completely different and seperate entitites as disorders. A person with schizophrenia would see things and people that are not there, and would interact with those things or people. They would not be able to tell the difference between what is real or what is family. They are very dissasociative, and cannot usually concentrate on any one thing at any time. They are "all over the place," and usually will talk about four or five things at once with no definition in between each item. They are very paranoid, and will think that you are going to betray them. I've met a few schizophrenics. I'M A SCHIZO FOR LIKING TO IMITATE TOUZOURS |
