Is there a link between stuttering and schizophrenia?

research question?

Well, schizophrenia doesn't actually cause stuttering in itself.

However, it has been reported that some of the common drugs used to treat schizophrenia, such as clozapine and olanzepine can cause stuttering as a side effect.

There have only been a few case reports published on this however, at least as far as I could find, so I wouldn't call the evidence on this strong. Source(s): Am a neurologist rather than a psychiatrist, but see the links below...

Any concurrence of those conditions would be coincidental.
I i i do do don don't kn kn know; but don't worry about the stuttering cause it will make the schizophrenia worse. Try to enjoy your life as it is.
