What is the difference between panic attacks, schizophrenia and possesions? ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS? panic attacks are related more to anxiety disorders, and the experience is a severe rush of adrenaline. Schizophrenia is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental disorder characterized by impairments in the perception or expression of reality and by significant social or occupational dysfunction. A person experiencing untreated schizophrenia is typically characterized as demonstrating disorganized thinking, and as experiencing delusions or auditory hallucinations. Although the disorder is primarily thought to affect cognition, it can also contribute to chronic problems with behavior and emotion. Demonic possession, in supernatural belief systems, is a form of spiritual possession whereby certain malevolent extra-dimensional entities, demons, gain control over a mortal person's body, which is then used for an evil or destructive purpose. Unlike in channelling or other benign forms of possession, the subject has no control over the possessing entity and so it will persist until forced to leave the victim, usually through a form of exorcism. Many cultures and religions contain some concept of demonic possession, but the details vary considerably. Some cultures, in particular the Roma people also believe that demons can also possess animals, plants, deceased persons or inanimate objects. Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org you cant get a serious answer here because most people here are rude and think they know it all good luck a panic attack is where you fell trapped and very tense... most people cant even imagine how scary it is. its like you are having a nightmare, but nothing bad is happening. schizophrenia is when you have 2 personalities (actually, you just think you do) and i dont know what possesions is. Panic attacks come on suddenly and you get very nervous or anxious. Schizophrenia you mood can go from good to bad very quickly or you can have multiple personalities. What do you mean about possessions? If your talking about being possessed by a demon or something like that i don't believe in that stuff because i have a close relationship with GOD. The short answer is that panic attacks are a form of an anxiety disorder and may be correlated to Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder that causes a detachment from reality with symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations. IT IS NOT MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES. If by possessions you mean like the Exorcist, well I can't really help you on that. You should try going to the American Psychiatric Association's website for further information. Ok, well, none of the three are usually related to one another. A panic attack is a sudden bout of intense fear or anxiety that causes frightening but not life-threatening symptoms such as a pounding heart, shortness of breath, and the feeling of losing control or dying. Usually from 5 to 20 minutes long, a panic attack may be triggered by stressful circumstances or it may occur unexpectedly. Schizophrenia is a severe brain disease that interferes with normal brain and mental function鈥攊t can trigger hallucinations, delusions, paranoia, and significant lack of motivation. Without treatment, schizophrenia affects the ability to think clearly, manage emotions, and interact appropriately with other people. It is often disabling and can profoundly affect all areas of your life (for example, becoming unable to work or go to school). I'm not sure what you mean by "possessions". If you are talking about something like "demonic possesions", they are related to religious beliefs, and not mental illnesses like panic attacks or schizophrenia. Some religions believe that peoples mind and body can be possessed by demons. Hope that helped. Good luck. |
