Is schizotypal just a branch off of schizophrenia? can you give me some information on schizotypal disorder? Schizotypal disorder is typically characterized by a need for social isolation. Patients typically have odd behavior and thinking, and the have unconventional beliefs, like they think they have extra sensory abilities. Some people think that Schizotypal is a mild form of schizophrenia- but then there are others who do not believe this because Schizotypal can be really severe at times. Schizotypal disorder is typically accompanied with other disorders like Avoidant personality disorder and paranoid personality disorder. Hope this helps! But there is Strong evidence in studies that say Schizophrenia can be caused by a lack of the essential fatty acids. These are cheap @ Walmart it is fish oil and borage oil mixed with a flax seed oil, please give this a try, no side effects unless you are allergic to fish. and you will feel better.
