How can you tell that someone suffers from Schizophrenia? |
Im really curious to know how you can see or tell that someone suffers from this mental condition. Are we even able to tell that they suffer from it or not? Thanks for answering and have a nice day! My daughter has a boy friend who has a form of Schizophrenia, you can not really tell by just looking, in his case when he gets worked up, stressed he starts to panic and gets scared of every thing that is normal to him, he scared to get on a train or to go out side like normally he would, luckily for him he knows what is happening and he go himself to the hospital where he is treated mainly by rest and some calming drugs . He does not get violent. So I would say any one who has it would start to have a character change, depending on the gravity of their illness, as for the suffering I do not think you can tell how much it is , you can not tell how much some one suffers when they have a migraine but I am sure they do. i dont know yes you do no they both dont know we havnt got it Didn't I just ask that question? The term schizophrenia translates roughly as "shattered mind," and comes from the Greek 蟽蠂委味蠅 (schizo, "to split" or "to divide") and 蠁蟻萎谓 (phr膿n, "mind"). Despite its etymology, schizophrenia is not synonymous with dissociative identity disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder or "split personality"; in popular culture the two are often confused. Although schizophrenia often leads to social or occupational dysfunction, a predisposition toward aggressive behavior is little associated with the illness. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/schizophren... Norman Bates You can't see it to look at a person with schizophrenia, it's usually when you get to know them well that you start to see signs. Sometimes they complain about hearing voices, and paranoia is one of the main symptoms, where they feel people are out to get them, for example. Lack of motivation and disorganised thought patterns are also symptoms which can be observed |
