What name was given to the view that Schizophrenia in young girls is caused by dominant fathers?


Is this 'view' still relevant? What are the modern conceps of the illness and it's causes? How far are we from a cure?

For the statistics. My father was a bully - hateful, and my mother still worships him. She thinks I am useless because he tells her so. In the outside world people tell me that I am a hard worker and intelligent, even a good friend. I walked out from my home after being beaten by my father at the age of 17.
